We are proud to say that all the glazes we use are our own recipes. Every glaze has been tested to ensure that it is food safe. Your health is in good hands with us 😊!

All ceramics are dishwasher safe, but we recommend to wash your pieces by hand. Many pieces from ‘Carmen Rafaelle’ are left natural on the outside, without being glazed. This means that those areas will change gradually over time. We recommend treating the outside surface with a transparant vegetable oil (not olive oil!) before the first use to seal the bowl completely. Simply pour the oil over the raw surface and let it soak for 10 minutes, then wash it off with dish soap.

That being said, we use our own work in our kitchen every day for already several years without any issues. Just be gentle with handmade pieces, and they will last a long time.

We ship to every country in the EU.

Rates are between €9.50 (Belgium) and … (EU). Prices are for parcels up to 2kg. To give you an idea this can be 2 dinner plates, 4 cups, 2 bowls and 2 cups, …. Anything above 2kg is another rate.

Shipping to any other country is also possible upon request. Please get in touch by email if you live outside of the EU and we’ll be happy to help you with shipping rates.

Please ensure you know the import taxes and duty fees from your home country before any purchase, as these will be the buyer’s responsibility. If the buyer refuses to pay taxes and/or duties, the parcel will be returned to us and the order will be refunded. This excludes the original and return shipping fee and a transaction fee of €10.

We cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays due to weather conditions, busy holiday periods or customs delays.

As we are working with seasonal shop openings it is also possible to pick up your order in Antwerp. When checking out on your order there will be a pick up date proposition. If you have chosen to pick up your order, we will get in touch with you after your purchase is completed.

‘Carmen Rafaelle’ is a very small business. We kindly ask that you make thoughtful purchases on our website to avoid any returns.

If in any case you are not happy with your order, please let us know within 7 working days after receiving your order by sending an email to info@carmenrafaelle.com.

Items should be unused and returned in their original packaging. We will process any refund due to you within 30 days of receiving your request. Shipping costs and risks are for the customers account.

We carefully wrap and pack each order and ship them with bPost. Your order should arrive between 3-7 working days within Belgium & Europe and 7-14 working days to the rest of the world.

We opened our ceramic studio CARAF in March 2023. You are more than welcome to hop in for a try out session, join weekly classes or organise a creative teambuilding or event.
